The SCLTC will hold a club meeting July 28th in downtown Los Angeles around
12:30 pm near Union Station. The full meeting itself will be held at
Philippe restaurant (www.philippe.com) located on 1001 North Alameda St,
close to Union Station. A tour of the area by foot and rail is planned.
This function will discuss topics of future club events, co-ordination,
layout & model ideas, and membership. MOCs in the forms of printed or screen
media may be shown but we ask no LEGO models nor trading/selling bricks/sets
be brought to this meeting.
Those living or visiting Southern California interested in SCLTC and would
like to attend must RSVP with Ted Michon (ted@michon.com), the
co-coordinator of the meet. If you are in the San Diego-Los Angeles rail
corridor with access to Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner
(http://www.amtrak.com/trains/pacificsurfliner.html) you may want to
consider jumping on board the train to the meeting. A ticket offer giving
you 30% off the regular fare is available now but only if you reserve your
tickets before June 30th. Check the following Amtrak site
(http://www.amtrak.com/savings/mc.html) for more details. We recommend
those taking the train catch the Northbound #771 (arrives in Union Station
at 12:15 pm), many SCLTC members will be on that one!
