I thought LUGNET readers might be interested in the "Botfest" robot
exhibition that is being organized in conjunction with the Botball
tournament that is being held at U Mass Lowell next month (March 9.) A
preliminary description is posted at

The "big idea" is to hold an exhibition style event that will serve as a
counterpoint to the competitive Botball event to encourage participation
from the wider robotics community. Students, teachers, hobbyists, and
researchers of all ages are encouraged to exhibit at the fair. We're still
working out the final details, but there will be some sort of registration
process with a nominal fee ($10?) for each exhibition table. We're looking
for other people in the greater Boston area who might be interested in
exhibiting at or attending the exhibition. Please pass along this
information to any people/schools/programs that you think might be
interested in participating.
