BrickFest™ PDX 2007 is coming!
Where: Portland, Oregon, USA
When: March 30th - April 1st 2007
This year’s BrickFest™ event identity is celebrating the “basic building
block” of the LEGO® system: The 2x4 brick.
For most, the 2x4 brick represents the very basic element and backbone of this
timeless construction toy, the mechanical ingenious of the LEGO elements, and
it’s potential to make the most incredible creations through the imagination of
LEGO enthusiasts around the globe.
“The interlocking principle with its tubes makes it unique, and offers
unlimited building possibilities. It’s just a matter of getting the imagination
going – and letting a wealth of creative ideas emerge through play.”

The design begins with the top as a black and white BrickFest™ herald followed
by “PORTLAND 2007”, designating the location and year of the event. Below the
herald is a black and white abstract representation of the top and bottom view a
2x4 brick.
One could also ascertain that the 2x4 brick’s “connective-ness” represents the
bond between friendship, camaraderie and community. BrickFest™ events
exemplifies this “bond” amongst good friends and acquaintances, and we feel that
this design identity represents just that.
This year BrickFest™ is, in it’s truest sense, a reunion of LEGO enthusiasts and
an opportunity to meet new people in a growing community.
