Folks,
I'm a bit late in posting after Brickfest but I did want to make sure I actually
said a huge thank you to all who organised the event and coordinated the
displays. Extra special thanks to the town crew for letting me include my street
in the display.
The whole event was really enjoyable. We (myself and my fiancé Pete) travelled
over from the UK and stayed for 5 nights at the Sheraton, originally we had
planned 4 but decided to book an extra night so as not to miss any Brickfest
fun. We both displayed MOCs.
It was excellent to meet so many AFOLs, to see everyones' displays, to go to the
meetings and the talks. I also enjoyed a bit of shopping (we had to buy an extra
suitcase for the return journey !) - both at the event and at the Lego stores in
the outlet mall and Tyson's Corner. Thank you so much to Jason, Adrian and Dan
for driving us to various places (we gave up on our rental car after it started
smoking on the first journey !).
It was lovely to meet everyone and we've started saving in our 2x4 Lego money
bank for next year's Brickfest.
