It has been exciting to hear about the plans for the LEGO train system. I like
the idea of the Play Train being "interesting to kids & useable by adults". I
hope it has been well thought out, as it is worrying that the intelligent train
did not take off. I like the idea of the progression from the Play Train to the
Hobby Train.
I hope the 9V train system will continue to be in the retail LEGO catalogue. I
exhibit my trains and the comment I hear is "I never knew LEGO did trains",
"where can I get them", and "how much are they?" I wonder about the price of the
LEGO Train Factory models. 4551 & 3225 included a motor and were sold at a
reasonable price. Since then, locos have been sold without motors and the
combined price is prohibitively expensive.
