Hi Nick
It looks to me as though these may be an extension of the Action
Wheelers/Toolo sets. Although there is not a screwdriver in sight.
I hope they are, as my 4 yr old son would be thrilled with "monster" duplo,
as he is of the age where the regular Duplo people are a bit too passive for
him(although he likes the cowboys, bandit and sheriff from the western sets)
We were pleased that the new action wheeler people had different faces,
rather than just the regular smilie's. However the faces on these new guys
are great! Maybe I shouldn't be encouraging his passion for baddie's LOL,
though when he saw your links his response was "wow, can we get them, they
are cool!" LOL Which is the most enthusiastic he has been for Duplo in a
long time.
He has a lot of minifigs, which he likes but I would be pleased to see the
Duplo being used more frequently, seeing as we have truckloads of it! these
new sets, assuming that they are Duplo (and the age is listed as 4+ so I am
guessing that is what they are) will renew his interest in Duplo, that is
for sure.
Good spotting Nick, I hadn't noticed these before
Rachel :-)
