  Origin of the words "Duplo" and "Scala"
 
How did they come up with those? They don't seem to be based on any words I can think of. (25 years ago, 18-Oct-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.duplo, lugnet.scala)

(...) I am pretty sure that the Duplo Animals are one piece. I also don't know about the older Faubuland pieces. One of the elephant characters may work for you. Does anyone know if the heads from either of the two versions of the DUPLO elephants (adult & child) are removable from the bodies? I want to build a LEGO sculpture of the elephant-headed Hindu god Ganesha and would like to use a DUPLO piece for the (...) (25 years ago, 15-Oct-00, to lugnet.duplo)

Most free servers are slow. I was watching my local news, and a bit came on about a golf course made of Lego at ISU...so I did a search, and found: (URL) Headline down. Pretty cool...there was heavy use of robotics on the holes, for motion and obstacles, and one hole that the (...) I looked at this site also, great discount. How did you know the name of the sets 5089, 5090, 5091, 5029? I looked in the set database & they are all called "Family" (...) (25 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.duplo)
