Re: Open letter to the CEO of the LEGO Company / Call for your signs! (no discussions here please)

(...) Ben, If you change the language of the letter so that it is clear that you are a group of people made up mostly of AFOLs, not the entire AFOL community then I will have no opinion about your letter, retract my objection to it, and wish you the (...)   LEGO Factory Judge Pages Archived?

One side benefit to LF (IMO) has been the spotlight pages on the judges. It's fun to read each judge's background, childhood favorites, etc. and then try to see how that reflects in his/her designs. From a teacher's point of view, I also loved the (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jan-05, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.edu, FTX)

  Re: surrender, you're surrounded!

(...) The issue wasn't explicitly stated as such. The issue was explicitly stated, in the original post, as coming from the AFOL community, not just you. (...)   Re: An alternative open letter to the CEO of the LEGO Company

Ooooh! :( What a pessimistic AFOL you are, William! (...) Yes, they're trying to grow a segment of their market. That gives "us" influence as customers, little as it may be. Did we get SYSTEM-color packs with gray plates and bricks through Jake, or (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.color, lugnet.dear-lego)

  surrender, you're surrounded!

Hello David! There can be no color debate thread without you, right? ;) (...) OF COURSE it is to ME. Who do you think did type this? My CAT?? (...) In fact I'm afraid there is not much thinking at all involved with those posts. Different interests (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.color, lugnet.dear-lego) !

In lugnet.general, William R. Ward wrote: [whatever] William, it would've been really nice if you didn't post this to half of LUGNET. C'mon, this is spamming. The only groups it needed go to were the two groups you set as FUT. Anything more just (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.color, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: An alternative open letter to the CEO of the LEGO Company

(...) For one thing, you're mistaking LEGO's efforts to grow a segment of their market with "influence." For another, it's NOT still a possibility. Jake has stated in no uncertain terms that the new colors are permanent. And the company has invested (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.color, lugnet.dear-lego)
