Dear Lego,
Since TLC is dead set on selling racers as sets, why not give us something to
race them on?  Make a slot track along the lines of tyco etc. except lego
compatible.  Give the cars chassis's with motors, like regular slot cars, but
also the optional unpowered chassis for carpets and floors!

If i could design my own track layouts and cars, *thats* something i would
invest in, like trains.  And its something that people in groups can play with!

That is a real toy- especially with the popularity of NASCAR and racing- that
families could actually get involved with kids on.

It would also open up all kinds of new/old set options- pit rows,
spectator stands etc.

You forgot that the train/town folks would use the track sets as animated
roads for their layouts...likely finding a way to control the system with
RCXs or their speed controllers, to have cars and trucks moving around.

Sounds neat, though.

Matt
