 Dear LEGO / 3367 (-10)
Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) Just my two cents. I bought the green dragon. I found the set to be challenging, and a well designed set. Granted it is a little too cute for me, but still a nice design. On top of that, once you take it apart you have tons (tonnes) of green (...) (23 years ago, 13-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) OK. I'll defend the Camel as a good, even great, model, though. It isn't minifig scale but neither are other model team sets. It's a bit bigger scale than model team but it is along the same lines. I found it to be a very enjoyable build. (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) I guess that's true but I thought we were talking about instances where the TLG model was good. If we're talking about as a set of parts, then yes. (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) I think that Lego have got themselves into a viscious circle. For some reason they realeased Juniorised sets, these sets didn't sell as well as they hoped. So to make up for losses they've diluted their product range and created these sets (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) The minifig isn't THAT useful but the other three you name are veritable treasure troves of parts. Sopwith Camel especially looks like someone who knows what sort of parts I like designed it to be a great parts source to fill in the gaps in my (...) (...) No you're not... You're just one of our favorites. Nice mathwork there, by the way, thanks for sharing! (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) Gee, I am no math wiz, but here goes: #3450 Statue of Liberty 2800 pcs. @ $199 USD = $0.07 USD an element #3451 Sopwith Camel 577 pcs. @ $49.99 USD = $0.09 USD an element #3724 Lego Dragon 1530 pcs. @ $99 USD = $0.06 USD an element #7127 (...) (...) Ah, but they can be used for SOOOO much more than that. Cool looking caps are just the beginning. This function does vary from mask to mask, though. (...) I've got no argument there. I had been hoping for this when I saw the first Bionicle (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) Not true. I don't like Star Wars, and none of the sculptures are of any use to me. What can i do with a giant minifig or dragon or sopwith camel? Maybe if the dragon was menacing I could pass it off as some monument in a medieval town, or if (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) I never said otherwise. (...) Sets got worse in the last three years and other tehcnology improved. (...) Why would I look for them? So, if Bionicle is (...) Well for 1, fads never last.. (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)
