My understanding is that the 'chroming' process increases the size of the
part slightly, so chrome parts come from different molds from
regular-opaque and transparent parts. The chrome-part molds create
slightly smaller pieces, to allow for the thickness of the chrome.
Hey wait! Anyone have the part numbers for the US 25th Anniversary Limited
Edition Silver Bricks?

| Interesting. So the white and transparent parts take the 30208 number, while the "metallic" versions take another number. In other cases, don't the transparent versions of a part use different numbers than the "regular" opaque versions? -John Van (...) (26 years ago, 30-Mar-99, to lugnet.db.inv)
