Re: New Lego Soft (only in Dacta)

(...) My son and I had great fun building with these at LEGOLAND last week. They had several hundred of these soft bricks there. They are strong enough to hold my weight, but I'm not sure that the connection strength would be enough to hold you (...) (24 years ago, 20-Jul-00, to lugnet.dacta, lugnet.general)

Re: New Lego Soft (only in Dacta)

(...) David - Where were these at the park? If they were in Brick By Brick, I missed them there. The only place I saw them was somewhere only staff could go, certainly _not_ open to the public. Then again, I was too busy to really actually see parts (...) (24 years ago, 20-Jul-00, to lugnet.dacta, lugnet.general)

Re: New Lego Soft (only in Dacta)

(...) I would say it was exactly half way between the model shop (where the LDRAW and Trains display was) and the park entrance.   Re: New Lego Soft (only in Dacta)

(...) They were in Brick by Brick, Tim, down at the bottom of the display cases. They were also for sale in The Big Store, though 4 different employees told me they weren't (They *were*, back in the Duplo section directly behind the cash register). (...)   Re: New Lego Soft (only in Dacta)

(...) Probably because they are marketed towards Day Cares, etc who are able to write them off. Wow, wouldn't it be neat if you could write off LEGO on your taxes!! "Honey, I was just trying to lower our bottom line!" ;-) -John (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jul-00, to lugnet.dacta, lugnet.general)

Re: New Lego Soft (only in Dacta)

(...) Maybe because they don't make that many of them, like plain old supply and demand, since they'd only make maybe like 10,000 a year, they're probably so much to offset the cost of all the new machinery they need. Or something. Alan (24 years ago, 21-Jul-00, to lugnet.dacta, lugnet.general)

(...) too (...) write (...) Not to mention would have the space for them. We've got 30-something of those plastic Chub(s?) Baby-Wipes Bricks (imported from the USA IIRC) and they really really really annoy me spacewise, whether stacked up or all (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jul-00, to lugnet.dacta, lugnet.general)
