You should protect the building instruction cards for the mini-sets because
you may never replace them if they get lost or destroyed.  Pitsco no longer
stocks the cards and said that Dacta discontinued them during 1999.

This unavailability of replacement building cards should make you approach a
Dacta set purchase with caution.  A school cannot afford to let an
educational manipulative sit "dead in the water" because a teacher lost the
cards and the vendor cannot sell you replacements.

At least K"NEX Educational can subsequently sell you the replacement cards
for its school sets.

My experience proves that eventually a Dacta set will lose its building
cards, teachers guide, electric wires, and battery boxes.  Thanks to LSAH we
can replace the electric parts.  No thanks to Dacta for neglecting the
availability of building cards.

Pitsco carried the mini-set cards during 1999 and may still have some for
the "Wheels & Axles Mini Set".
