  Re: Macintosh LEGO CAD/LEGO Designer

Welcome Matthew! Unfortunately, I don't know what the Pitsco software is like. But, as a fellow Mac user, I'd love to find out! Ben On Tue, 10 Apr 2001 17:41:22 -0600, Matthew Gerber wrote (in message <GBLoGy.Azp@lugnet.com>): (...) (24 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.dacta)

Re: Pneumatic Pump Testing Goes Hi Tech

TRU-FLATE tire pressure guages are made by Stant. If you search the Web for "Tru-Flate" you will find several stores that sell them. I have been using a digital tire guage (like the one originally suggested on Soh Chio's site) up until now to (...)   Re: Pneumatic Pump Testing Goes Hi Tech

(...) Well, the markings say "TIRE PRESSURE GAUGE" at the top and "TRU-FLATE" at the bottom. It reads to 60 psi. No other markings to indicate its manufacture. It came courtesy of John Barnes together with the pressure sensor. The inlet has been (...) (24 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, lugnet.build, lugnet.dacta)

(...) Those pressure switches look quite neat! It's one step closer to the establishment of a link between the pneumatic system and the RCX... BTW I was just browsing your website (really great site BTW) and had a question...do you know what type of (...)   Macintosh LEGO CAD/LEGO Designer

Greetings all, I've ordered LEGO Designer from Pitsco, and was wondering if any of you have used it. Is it similar to LDraw, or am I just getting the old LEGO CAD in a new package? Basically, do I opn the package when it gets here, or just send it (...) (24 years ago, 10-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.dacta)

Re: Pneumatic Pump Testing Goes Hi Tech

(...) Thanks, Jen. I'll have a go at it. (...) Well, I was just thinking to what extent you could take the pressure sensor device. Actually, most of my own creations don't use the RCX. And they're mostly powered by the manually operated hand pump. (24 years ago, 10-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, lugnet.build, lugnet.dacta)

Re: Pneumatic Pump Testing Goes Hi Tech

With all this talk of pneumatics going on, I feel I must inform you that all my current and pending creations hardly use pneumatics at all, I've binned them in favour of something more suited to my needs. I'd love to tell you but you'll have to wait (...) (24 years ago, 10-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, lugnet.build, lugnet.dacta)

(...) Sure - I made a rather ugly version of it including limit switch for my skid steer loader model. There is a picture here; I don't actually think many modifications other than replacing the small and large pully with 8 and 40 tooth gears were (...) (...) I don't know how or why but I don't seem to have come across it. I guess I could try to build one but it'll help if you could give me a link or reference to it. (...) Well, I can have a go at it. But really, with this pressure sensor thing, (...) (24 years ago, 10-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, lugnet.build, lugnet.dacta)

Re: Pneumatic Pump Testing Goes Hi Tech

(...) Nice work as ever! One type of pump I've not seen you test yet is a varation of Michael Powell's using an 8 tooth gear onto 40 tooth gear reduction rather than the belt drive, as this seems to improve performance significantly. How about a (...) (24 years ago, 10-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, lugnet.build, lugnet.dacta)
