Hi Bryan,
First of all, I know how upsetting it can be when you don't get any response
to your posts. So I totally hear you on that.
As for CW updates, I know Nathan does his best, but even *he* is human (hard
to believe, I know! He does a great job 99.9% of the time). And if he got an
email with no name of the submitter, and no picture, I'm sure he was
confused and decided (or perhaps even unknowingly) ignored it. And you can't
expect him to *guess* who sent it to him, even if you did post the day
before - as far as I know (!) Nathan isn't telepathic. ;-)
Plus I must point out that Adam is right - one of your URLs was a "page not
found" and the other has text overlapping, which is not exactly pleasing to
the eye. As a friendly suggestion, try testing your pages with different
browsers - I discovered this myself after a few overlapping-text incidents
way back in the day. Using geocities' PageBuilder or any other WYSIWYG tends
to do things like that if you're not careful.
One more thing to keep in mind is that if you have pictures people are much
more likely to check out your things, and the higher quality of the pics,
the better. Us AFOLs go for eye-candy. ;-)
Don't be discouraged, and keep it coming! I'm glad you're coming on board.
Please view the above as constructive criticism, which is not at all a bad
thing! Everyone has room to improve and sometimes I wish we would give each
other a bit more helpful feedback and not just "that's great" posts.
Although the latter is more fun to receive, the former encourages you to
improve your work. W/o constructive criticism (given in a friendy and polite
manner) how can one know what needs improvement?
All the best, and again welcome,
-Shiri
