In the same vein, there is a part that exists for
attaching two studs behind a minifig:

The "M-Tron Rocket Pack," which came with several sets
(in blue with the Solar Power Transporter, grey with
another set IIRC, and black in M-Tron). It's not
particularly "available" at present but it does an OK
job of holding wings.
Amother possibility, if the position of the wings is
a bit fudgeable, are Hydronaut helmets.
