Dunno about the Web, but check out the book _Castle_ by David McCauley (sp?)
It should be in just about every single library. It also had a rather amusing
PBS show which went along with it. Basically, it traces the early history of
a fictional English castle in Wales, probably ca. 15th century or so. Lotsa
illustrations, some floor plans, good explanations and general castle theory,
etc. Good stuff.
Cheers,

| (...) sieges. (...) I have the book _Castle_ by David McCauley, real good book. You also might check out the book _Castles Their Construction and History_ by Sidney Toy. It should be at the library as well. Dan (27 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)
