Okay, if you haven't seen the hi-res scans on FBTB check'em out (if you are
on a 56k modem, grab some coffee)

As castle fans, we might be disappointed that there won't be any new sets
for 2001 (at least the first part), but let's find relief in the fact that
many of these new 2001 sets could hold some important pieces which require
us to use our creative minds to find applications to our castle realms.

It seems the new Throwbots, or whatever, have some potential pieces which
could be used for some neat, modified weapons. (green axe?)

The red 6x6 red octagonal domes seem to be making a comeback.

New female faces? Yes, but with headsets *sigh* time to get the X-acto knife
out.

What about this new red flat-top hair piece? It looks more like a headpiece
for a high priest?

Gray hands! Yippie! Now I can finish those all gray castle statues in my
villiage square.

Studios! Is anyone else thinking about grabbing up a few of those Dino Head
sets and making a (larger) green dragon?

I suppose that is all for now....

(...) Well, I guess 2001 will be a love-hate year. Either you love it or you hate it. A lot of long-term fans will love it for new part-colour combos but incumbant fans will hate it cause of a lack of great set designs. Maybe we can say, "2001 - The (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.castle)
