Well why not start building?
If you need inspiration, and you don't have any picture books, get thee to
Barnes & Noble and check out:
The Ancient City
by Peter Connolly with Hazel Dodge
It is a softcover book of cut-away illustrations of everything ancient:
Houses, homes, and temples; theatres, baths, race tracks... the Coliseum!
aqueducts, eateries, and apartments; tables, chairs, togas, tunics, bras, boats
and bricklayers; gladiators, government, sewers, latrines and palaces, it's all
here, from life to death to food to sex. PROFUSELY illustrated.
I've given up trying to make my own visual reference scrapbook since I found
this book. Actually Graig found it for me after we took in 'Gladiator' for the
third time.

(OK, not everything ancient, it only tries to show you Athens and Rome.)

| Wouldn't it be neat if lego came out with a series based on ancient roman civilization? I wouldn't want it to replace normal castle but TLG would probably replace it anyway just to tick us off. But they could make some roman baths and a whole bunch (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.castle)
