(...) look, and a third, before I figured out what they were. ;-) Pawel, you gotta stop doing that... by "that" I mean giving us one picture of every creation... and people call *me* a tease! C'mon... give us s'more poses... Can't wait for Chapter (...) (24 years ago, 24-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Painting Lego (Was: More Dragons)

(...) Actually, let me say this, being the grandson of a master craftsman. It is very possible to get a thin coat of pait from a can of krylon paint. I know because I've gotten one myself. Your problem was you did not let the primer cure for a long (...) (24 years ago, 24-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

Enter the Dragon ... or a fun teaser.

Hey! Chapter 11 of the Verneer Chronicles will be up tomorrow. In the meantime, with all the talk about the need for more dragons, I built one all by myself. It took about 8 hours or so, but I got it done from scratch. You be the judge whether it (...) (24 years ago, 24-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) no?) (...) The older ones are often ref'ed to as peasant/WP cowls... and the new one in brown is sometimes called Obi-wan hood (he *is* the only one wearing it...) -Shiri (24 years ago, 24-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) or (...) Wow, somebody else is trying to do the same thing I am, Lego AD&D! On betatesting with my cuz' it turned out great. :) -- Mark Nelson Speedy's Lego Page: (URL) (No castle content!) (24 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Lego Castle Role Playing

The oddest thing happened to me today. I was contacted by a man who wished to turn my castle website world into a dungeons and dragons suppliment series. Though he has no links to TSR, and it's a non profit, internet free ware type of thing, I think (...) (24 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Bellville Castle MOC

(...) Very nice, very nice!! It has a real storybook feel to it, more so than many minifig scale creations. Absolutely charming! You have an excellent eye for composition, design, and colour. Good on ya. Robin P.S. BTW, do you have any pix of your (...) (24 years ago, 22-Sep-00, to lugnet.belville, lugnet.castle)

Re: Best Star Wars set for Castle use?

(...) Correct you are! It's the only SW set (well, only LEGO set) to come with the young version of Obi-Wan... (...) Don't think this hood has an unofficial name yet-- but yes, I'm pretty sure that 'cowl' referrs to the Peasant/Wolfpack hoods. (...) (24 years ago, 22-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Best Star Wars set for Castle use?

(...) I call them Star Wars hoods, big hoods, new hoods. (sounds like Dr. Seuss, no?) The old ones I call: Old hoods, small hoods, classic hoods, or forestmen or wolfpack hoods. Any others? -- Pawel (24 years ago, 22-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) a (...) And I forgot about the ball itself- is you built a tower that could drop it on approaching enemies, you'd have a pretty cool trap. It would even roll after them! (24 years ago, 22-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Best Star Wars set for Castle use?

Another nice thing about the Gungan Sub is that it has the Star Wars hood in Brown. I think, but am not positive, that it is the only set that has one. What is the "unofficial" name of this hood? I have seen people call some hoods "cowls", but am (...) (24 years ago, 22-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Best Star Wars set for Castle use?

(...) The Gungan sub is also a very good parts pack. It isn't mentioned as often (it's almost a well kept secret). Lots of dark grey and blue slopes and plates. A bunch of useful figures (which you don't get so many of in the Sith Infiltrator), a (...) (24 years ago, 22-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Best Star Wars set for Castle use?

(...) You shouldn't have trouble getting rid of these if you don't find a use for them yourself. The transparent Star Wars laser cannon piece is usefull for putting flying creatures up in the air. The whole stand of course would be usefull in a (...) (24 years ago, 22-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Bellville Castle MOC

Ever since I acquired every set in the Belville fairy tale Castle series, I have wanted to build one large Castle using all the pieces possible. It was quite difficult considering I was limited to the Belville colors -- adding regular LEGO® colored (...)   Re: Best Star Wars set for Castle use?

(...) I'd be inclined to open them for parts. The SW sets (especially, it seems the Sith Infiltrator) have done a fairly decent job of saturating the market, so you'd have to hang onto them for quite a while before getting a good return. Parts, (...) (24 years ago, 22-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Best Star Wars set for Castle use?

(...) I certainly didn't have an interest in a Sith Infiltrator or Gungan Sub for my Castles of Pirates stuff, but I found a WalMart that has them for $10 each. Open 'em for parts or just hang onto to 'em for now and trade/sell 'em later to get real (...) (24 years ago, 22-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)
