Re: Helfire - a microfig scale castle town

(...) Shiri, Super job, I really like your little-big town :-). Great job documenting the roof and doing a corner peek. I do think you have seen them before though but just not as close up and obvious, my Inn does have 2 corners like this one is in (...) (25 years ago, 29-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Helfire - a microfig scale castle town

(...) No, don't say it: you are (searching for subtle euphemism) "passing" bricks? Oooooo, and you have to use a brick separator? Ouch. You are taking this Lego stuff too far! :-) Bruce (25 years ago, 29-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Helfire - a microfig scale castle town

(...) Well, I only have three, but I usually find that one of them is lost in the pile of junk mail on the desk. I try to keep them all together so I don't have to build any contraptions to get the 1x2 plate stack apart. John (25 years ago, 29-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Adding height to minifigs?

I had to do this for my Charles Degaulle (?) figure for my Eiffel Tower. I stuck a 2x4 'camera' brick with studs on 4 sides and a tube on the end in between the body and legs. I also put a 1x1 plate on the bottom and a 1x2 plate on that for feet. (25 years ago, 29-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Adding height to minifigs?

(...) Some people don't use legs at all, but bricks. That way you can make a minifig at any height you want - dwarves, giants, Michael Jordan; they're all possible if you use bricks. :-) HTH, -Shiri (25 years ago, 29-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Adding height to minifigs?

(...) How 'bout using a 1x2 hinge at the waist with 1x2 bricks and plates for height? This will still allow you to have the 'fig bend at the waist, though he will have a hard time sitting in one spot. -Cheese (25 years ago, 29-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

Christopher Lindsey wrote in message <38E1E99C.A09760AE@n...rn.com>... (...) The only effective way I know of is to add lots of accessories to the figs' neck (Backpacks, capes, helmets, etc...).   Re: Forestmen and Wolfpack... thoughts

(...) Wowee! And to think I should be getting that set in a few days! Now I have yet another reason to expect the mail ;-) (Finally my forestman population will grow beyond two!) -Shiri (25 years ago, 30-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Adding height to minifigs?

(...) The dot in the headgear is an excellent idea! It raises the cloaked head thing a little high (so you can see the bare neck from the back), but that's OK, I think. I've settled on a combination of options -- it makes the minifig about a foot (...) (25 years ago, 30-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: I am back with pics!

(...) Now that I've looked again... I love your roofs. You have many different kinds; the SW roof is very creative, the Manor's roof changes degree midway to give a VERY nice effect and the blue house in the middle actually uses bricks instead of (...) (25 years ago, 30-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)
