(...) The flag poles are just rigid white plastic tubes that are inserted into one of those light grey rails... <part:6140> I'm not sure what set I got them in, though... Probably the Technic Beach Buster, but I don't remember offhand. (25 years ago, 28-Mar-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.castle)

  Re: Forestmen and Wolfpack... thoughts

(...) No, they might be called "Celts" (if they're supposed to be Celtic warriors). If they're Scotsmen, then they *wear* "kilts".... ;-) Franklin (25 years ago, 28-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Forestmen and Wolfpack... thoughts

(...) Only vaguely. Scots are much more Pictish, really. No self-respecting Celt is going to strip down and cover himself in blue paint before battle. ;) If you're looking for Celts(1), you should be looking in Ireland and Wales. That being said, (...) (25 years ago, 28-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Forestmen and Wolfpack... thoughts

(...) bad (...) The celts were stripping down to their bare shield back when they were terrorizing early Rome. I forget whether they were into woad at that time, but I'll check my books when I get home. I think they were, but celts wander in and out (...) (25 years ago, 28-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) No, no. The Scottish are of Pictish decent, as well as Germanic. The Celts are niether Scottish or Pictish. -Chris (25 years ago, 28-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

Just a note: It's probably about your last chance to get a dark forest guy from LEGO rather than ebay, etc. See the ugly fright nights set with him at half price at: (URL) . (...) No problem, man. Don't beat yourself up over it. I just had some bad info, and you righted it. Nothing wrong with that. The sad thing is, my great grandfather is Scottish...sorry Grandpa <looks at sky and cowers> -Chris (25 years ago, 28-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

Forestmen, Wolfpack, Bull-men, and the Undead

That other thread seemed to be getting too long, so I thought I'd add my thoughts here. In my world, here's how it goes. The Forestmen are Robin Hood types. They have their own secret forest hideouts and little castles. They live off the forest, but (...) (25 years ago, 29-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Pretty nice, darlin'! I like the way you did the Inn roof; I'd never thought of something like that. Now, you need to expand and make a HUGE town. Maybe for part of it you could use that baseplate I sent you... -Chris (25 years ago, 29-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)
