The same thing is happening to me now that I'm trying to rebuild my sets after
8 years in (pretty uninterrupted) storage. I also have plenty of double-clip
saddles I can't place, and a shortage of the singles. The only set I am
reasonably sure that pictures a single clip when a double one was really
included was 6059 (blue). I thought I remembered this as strange back in
1990, then checked again lately against the Lugnet inventories where it does
list a double clip saddle. Some of the inventories seem to have errors, but
I'm pretty sure the 6059 is accurate. I had 5 of these sets, and found none
of the single clip blue saddles. I also had 6 (now 5) of the 6085s from 1988
and found the majority of those saddles, so maybe between 1988 and 1990...?

| (...) The first 2 clip saddles I recall were in the 6009 knight and Wolfpack Renegades...I guess my assumption is that they "arrived" after the Black Falcons and Original Lion soldiers; my camouflaged (25 years ago, 4-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)
