Folks,
For anyone who hasn't seen the new Castle sets, they include Dragons that are
more realistic looking than the Viking ones.  The dragons are still very
poseable and look great.  The new chest for the skeletons that allow them to
use droid like arms are much better than the old ones.

The two problems with the skeletal warrior minifigs is that the new arms are way
too long, and they are not bent at the elbow.  These two things combined give
them a rather ape-like stature.  Anyways, I think one of the neatest new items
is just a simple paint deco, with the ribcage armor that's found only in The
Final Joust, worn by one of only two skeletal knights that I know of in this new
lineup (the other being the one that rides the dragon in the King's Castle
Seige, which wears a completely different set of armor).  The old floppy-armed
skeletons had arms that were much closer to the length of a standard minifig arm
(though they were actually shorter, especially once you account for the fact
that they're not actually bent at the elbow).  I suspect that the length and
shape of the new arm was motivated by possible alternative uses, where bending
the elbow would have made it much less useful for linking two bars together (not
a problem on the old Battle Droid arm, since they link bars parallel to each
other, not perpendicular, so the shape of the connecting section won't force an
odd offset), and reducing the length would affect the ability to conform to
standard LEGO ratios (the old Battle Droid arm, despite the kinked elbow, has
bar clips on exact 2-stud centers).
