Greetings,

After a successful show last year, COLTC was again invited to display at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, in Belleville, IL, near St. Louis, MO.

This year an entire building was dedicated to the Lego display, which again was featured by the life size Lego Nativity Scene. The “Song of the Angels” mosaic and the “Town of Bethlehem” were also repeat performers, as was my Cathedral. Besides the layouts, there is a very large building area for kids of all ages.

COLTC set up an entirely different layout this year. Last year tall buildings were specifically omitted, this year we had less restrictions.

We had 3 skyscrapers, a large town section, a large forested hill, a river/valley area, and a medieval village. In addition to the town layout, a seperate little display has 2 of St. Louis landmarks, the old cathedral, and the Gateway arch:

Jack and Don of GatewayLug visited us during our set-up, thanks for coming and helping guys!

The show is open daily, from 5 PM to 9 PM (except Dec 25th and Thanksgiving), admission to the Lego building is $4 for adults, $2.50 for kids 5-12, under 5 is free. Tuesdays, all kids 5-12 are free with a paying adult. Show will run till Jan 6th.

(...) Paul, too bad you guys left just before Gary McIntire and I arrived -- your layout looks fantastic! The cathedral rework is great. The arch is in a class by itself. Well done! dan parker, TrainBuilder Productions, LLC (20 years ago, 18-Nov-04, to lugnet.loc.us.oh, FTX)
