For those of you who heard about the incidents in the castle room where items on
the displays were stolen, I thought I would update on a related incident.

Someone took one of my farm chickens, also - I was unpacking today and noticed
one missing - then reviewed my pictures and found before and after pictures on
Saturday and Sunday. :(

So far, that means someone took 3 chrome swords (large castle in back corner), 1
chrome helmet (Greek temple), and a small white chicken MOC (farm).

Obviously, it would be great if anyone had any more information on what
happened. But I would also suggest everyone who was in the castle room (or any
other) closely review their MOCs to determine if anything else was stolen.

I would also suggest we get barricades next year.

Due to the inaccessibility of the chrome pieces, I don't believe the pilfering
occurred at the hands of a small child.
Therefore, I would also suggest we consider setting up some kind of webcams -
nothing too extravagant, but a deterrent to future pilfering.

Overall, I really enjoyed the convention, but it's disheartening to see so much
display pilfering in at least one room. :(

I agree with Stephen's suggestions. This was really a sad event in the castle room. It was hard to judge how busy Sunday would be at fest. The castle and space rooms were far too crowded with visitors during the Expo. Even with several afols (...) (20 years ago, 18-Aug-04, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

(...) This is so pathetic. Grown people stealing toys... I kept a very lose eye on my MOCs, and my soldier figs. Perhaps the fact that they were terrorists fighting Chinese soldiers was a deterrent in and of itself. During Sunday I guarded my MOCs (...) (20 years ago, 21-Aug-04, to lugnet.events.brickfest)
