  Re: banner year for castle

(...) OK, I must admit the red sword will do nicely for a bloody crusade-like battle... (...) Right again. Now factions will be annihilated long before reaching the castle walls, just for wearing the wrong garments. But seriously, turquoise Knights? (...) (21 years ago, 17-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Bummer year for castle

(...) now those Idiot Kid(TM) castle sets. Why bother making so many parts? Make the walls and buildíngs part of the baseplate, and add (optionally) a one-piece-roof for the main building, if any. Throw in a few Jack Stones with eyewatering armour (...) (21 years ago, 17-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Farmers' Shop

(...) Well James that is very impressive indeed for a first attempt at a tudor-style shop. Looks to me you have had a lot of practise ;-) The details are really inspiring. Oh dear, now I'll have to integrate this one as well in my medieval village (...) (21 years ago, 17-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Farmers' Shop

Hi, I've just finished up my first attempt at a tudor-style shop, The Farmers' Shop has most everything a farmer could want, and if a farmer needs something special, the owner is willing to take custom orders. Here is the folder: (2 URLs) Back: (2 (...) (21 years ago, 17-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.announce.moc) !

Re: CASTLE ALIVE (Re: banner year for castle)

(...) Actually, the Armada Pirates helmet is the morion. What you refer to as a morion is more of a spangen-constructed Norman/Viking style. It's hard to tell with blurry pictures, but the new open faced helmet looks like a barbutte and is another (...) (21 years ago, 17-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: banner year for castle

(...) As for the colors, use your imagination.. haven't you always secretly wanted ruby and sapphire swords? Sure, more chrome would be nice. At last, Sir Gawain can meet the Green Knight. And villains and heroes will be known by the color of their (...) (21 years ago, 17-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle)

Re: CASTLE ALIVE (Re: banner year for castle)

(...) Glorious bad castles! I'm not pleased with the mixture of old and new here. Flame me for saying this, but I think Lego would be advantaged by dumping all old Castle elements in favor of all new ones that are designed in a shared style. For (...)   Re: banner year for castle

(...) Mighty Morphin Power Knights Kingdom!!! Looks very much like a cross between MEGA BLOCKS Power Rangers and Dragons, which I consider a good move for LEGO. I'll be buying at least three themes this summer it looks like... That'd be Castle, Star (...) (21 years ago, 17-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: banner year for castle

(...) After seeing the pictures I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised. These seem pretty nice to me, lots of nice new additions to the minifig accessories and great amounts of the new colors, not looking over done. The only set that is a bit (...)   Re: banner year for castle

(...) What I meant to say was: That the useless accessories, such as the scorpions, would ‘suck so bad!’ (just how many scorpions does a person need?) Oh, and did I mention, that despite the silly and intense color range, this line will probably (...) (21 years ago, 17-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Classic Castle Adventures!

(...) This sounds like great fun!! I'm in, I just sent my party information. One question: where do the beasts come from and how are they played? ~Mike (21 years ago, 17-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: banner year for castle

(...) there are 6 of ‘em right?!? Lt. Blue Blue Red Sand/drk. Red Green Purple Is this correct? Man, do these ever contrast with my overall army. This is far too fantasy, and not the decent kind of realist-fantasy, but the goofy ‘Barney-version’ of (...) (21 years ago, 17-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general)

  Wagons - Brewer & Wheelwright

Broke a wheel? Get the wheelwright. And while you are waiting, drink some of that mead you bought off the brewer. Two wagons to get those medieval villagers from here to there. (...) Wow with so many colours, no wonder they fiddled with the greys... Appealing sets for kids, but I'm not interested. Looks like I'll just buy the S@H exclusives instead (which I already have multiples of). -Bryan (21 years ago, 16-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle)

Ikros: Chaos Skies Chapter 5 now online!

I suppose I could have picked a better week to finish this chapter, I'm gonna get buried by new set talk :) But nevertheless, I've finally finished a new chapter for my story, so without any further ado, I'm pleased to present: Ikros: Chaos Skies (...)   Re: banner year for castle

(...) Hate to say it, but this new range reminds me of the MBs Castle range. Never been a big fan on the MB product, the only good thing, however, is their assortment of weapons......... The new Knights look like Teletubbys in bright outfits and the (...) (21 years ago, 16-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: banner year for castle

(...) It looks like chrome to me. And since we now know 9 out of 10 kids surveyed in a focus group prefer brighter, shinier colors (and extra sugar in their cereal), there's no way Lego would make a tan sword. Don (21 years ago, 16-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: banner year for castle

(...) I already typed extensive comments on Classic-Castle, so I'll be brief here. It's basically Knights Kingdom Redux, with all the faults of the previous. The jousting match annoys me with no shields, no horses, and no bardings. The big castle is (...) (21 years ago, 16-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle)
