  Re: Classic Castle Adventures!

(...) This sounds like great fun!! I'm in, I just sent my party information. One question: where do the beasts come from and how are they played? ~Mike (21 years ago, 17-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: banner year for castle

(...) there are 6 of ‘em right?!? Lt. Blue Blue Red Sand/drk. Red Green Purple Is this correct? Man, do these ever contrast with my overall army. This is far too fantasy, and not the decent kind of realist-fantasy, but the goofy ‘Barney-version’ of (...) (21 years ago, 17-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general)

  Wagons - Brewer & Wheelwright

Broke a wheel? Get the wheelwright. And while you are waiting, drink some of that mead you bought off the brewer. Two wagons to get those medieval villagers from here to there.   Re: banner year for castle

(...) Wow with so many colours, no wonder they fiddled with the greys... Appealing sets for kids, but I'm not interested. Looks like I'll just buy the S@H exclusives instead (which I already have multiples of). -Bryan (21 years ago, 16-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle)

Ikros: Chaos Skies Chapter 5 now online!

I suppose I could have picked a better week to finish this chapter, I'm gonna get buried by new set talk :) But nevertheless, I've finally finished a new chapter for my story, so without any further ado, I'm pleased to present: Ikros: Chaos Skies (...)   Re: banner year for castle

(...) Hate to say it, but this new range reminds me of the MBs Castle range. Never been a big fan on the MB product, the only good thing, however, is their assortment of weapons......... The new Knights look like Teletubbys in bright outfits and the (...) (21 years ago, 16-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: banner year for castle

(...) It looks like chrome to me. And since we now know 9 out of 10 kids surveyed in a focus group prefer brighter, shinier colors (and extra sugar in their cereal), there's no way Lego would make a tan sword. Don (21 years ago, 16-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: banner year for castle

(...) I already typed extensive comments on Classic-Castle, so I'll be brief here. It's basically Knights Kingdom Redux, with all the faults of the previous. The jousting match annoys me with no shields, no horses, and no bardings. The big castle is (...) (21 years ago, 16-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Return of the King sneak preview

(...) Using Dobby's head for Gollum is ironic in light of Gollum's attitude toward Dobby. Gollum had no kind words for the house elf in his "acceptance speech" at the MTV awards. (21 years ago, 16-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: banner year for castle

(...) In set 8777, is it really Tan classic sword? It looks Gold to me or more like the color of the C3PO color. (URL) (21 years ago, 16-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: banner year for castle

(...) I'm one of the many AFOLs who primarily collect rather than build. As such, I am unlikely to spend a cent on these crappy models (no offense to anyone, just my own view). Which is not altogether a bad thing, as it will leave me more to spend (...) (21 years ago, 16-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: banner year for castle

(...) Say what you want. If I was ten, I would be drooling over those sets. I almost drooling now. Yes, few bricks . . . and less than the MOC standards many people hold themselves to but I can picture many a child have more fun than most AFOLs with (...)   Re: banner year for castle

(...) Uh... I think that might be a violet knight in 8777. The one in 8780 definately appears to be violet compared to the blue in the structure. There is a light blue knight in 8779 so it would make more sense (from a color contrast standpoint) (...) (21 years ago, 16-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: CASTLE ALIVE (Re: banner year for castle)

(...) Unfortunately, it's the legacy of Jack Stone: (URL) I think the reason for all the juniorized parts is that it could be cheaper to produce and handle, say, one 1x2x5 than five 1x2s. Or, one BURP rock vs. the equivalent several dozen bricks. (...) (21 years ago, 16-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: banner year for castle

(...) No, it's more like, "Who approaches the bridge of death must answer me these questions three, ere the other side ye see!" But seriously, I agree with the others, this is a great year for castle! Maybe not the best sets, but still great!! My (...) (21 years ago, 16-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: banner year for castle

(...) I too was eagerly awaiting the new batch of Lego Castle sets. I must say I really am dissapointed in the general design (very junior!) and the colors of the weapons (gold & red blades - what the...?!)... I was certainly the last one to start (...) (21 years ago, 16-Dec-03, to lugnet.castle)
