Hi all,

A while back I asked here about identifying a certain train that I’d seen in Koeln. It seems I may have had the wrong picture (it was tiny) but the answers certainly helped me find the train I was after: a DB 425 EMU.

I started this project back then and was never quite satisfied with it. Last night I finally decided to finish it and made a couple of improvements I had thought of so I can present it here now.

DB 425

Brickshelf gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=151533

At present there are only a few ‘shots’ of it in the gallery since I ran out of ideas for angles but if anyone would like to see details or other angles just ask.

Anyway, as usual, please feel free to suggest improvement etc.

Yours,

Tim

PS. For those with a render fetish the two zoomed shots took about 1hr render time each and the overall view took about 30m.

PPS. For those eagle-eyed enough to notice that the model in the front picture differs slightly from that in the other two I challenge you to find out why I changed the front design.

(...) Very nice. Both this and the Australian unit are great models. Would you consider sharing the DAT file? (19 years ago, 7-Nov-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
