If you are running Windows 95/98/NT and have
1) installed POV-Ray for Windows (http://www.povray.org) and
2) copied l3p.exe (http://www.netby.net/Nord/Mandelvej/Hassing/l3p.html)
to e.g. C:\Windows (or to any other directory in your PATH) and
3) installed LDraw in e.g. C:\Lego\LDraw
then type in a DOS-box (command-prompt):
C:\> set LDRAWDIR=c:\Lego\LDraw
C:\> cd PovFiles
C:\PovFiles> l3p -b -f car.dat
C:\PovFiles> start car.pov
This will launch POV-Ray for Windows and you can click the Run button.
Voila!
