You might try 3DWin, its available on LDraw.org. But, it is shareware, and I
don't know exactly what features you are given with the free version.
That render is AMAZING! But, is it LDraw-based?? I ask, because I'm looking at
the minifig airtanks and they don't look like my recollection of LDraw minifig
airtanks - specifically, isn't the bar between the two cylinders a little big?
Did those tires ever come in gray? I don't think so....anyone know?
I'm featuring a 3DSMax render on a poster I'm putting together for display at
LEGOLAND, advertising the LDraw sessions at BricksWest. Its the MOTM winner
from a while back - the Polaris I Space Lab - an amazing rendering :-)
