  Re: New to digital LEGO

(...) From the thumbnails, your pics look pretty nice. However, I don't have the patience to download 3+ Mb bitmap files. Please consider saving your renderings as JPG files, and compress them to 150 Kb or less. --Bram (24 years ago, 2-May-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: New to digital LEGO

(...) If you're in LEdit: One thing you need to figure out is where your center of rotation is. By default, it's on <0,0,0>, but you can move it around. Personally, I keep a fake part line (e.g. 0.DAT) and move that around to help setting the center (...) (24 years ago, 2-May-00, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.cad)

  New to digital LEGO

Hi folks, I've just picked up the challenge of using Ldraw, L3P, and POV-ray. At (URL) you can see my first crack results. They are crude by the standards of some of your works, but I'm pretty excited about how little time it took to run through the (...) (24 years ago, 2-May-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

You can add all sorts of scaling, rotation, and translation to this line by adding "scale" "rotate" and "translate" modifiers. (...) (24 years ago, 30-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Moving an object in a scene

In POV-Ray how does one go about changing the position of a model in the scene. I've figured out how to move the camera around, but can't figure out how to move an object. Any help would be appreciated. Also what do I need to do to add a 2nd model (...) (24 years ago, 30-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Transformable Fighter G2

(...) Oops! [1] - Robotech term for a Veritech in a state between battroid and jet modes, with the arms out and lower leg sections down on the ground. (24 years ago, 29-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.build)

  Transformable Fighter G2

I finially finished modeling everything movable of my transformable fighter. So far it has only been seen in jet mode, but now it can be seen in guardian [1] and mecha/robot mode, along with its sword! I have rendered a bunch of images today in (...)
