  Re: Another space render...

  Re: Another space render...

(...) Well I personally like the idea of the model being part of a racing league. If it was then you could maybe name it on these grounds. You could take in to consideration the manufacturer of the ship, the racing team name, and even the pilot. (...)   Another space render...

I've built a recreational space craft: (URL) envision it sort of as a sailplane for outer space...powered by solar wind or solar power. Does anyone have a good idea for a name for the model? For all you artists out there, I'd also like a critique on (...) (24 years ago, 11-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.publish, lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: Propellors on plane at Brickshelf

(...) MegaPOV supports motion blur, focal blur, photons (so you can create a real mirror or prism), UV mapping, post processing filters and a lot more. It works exactly like PovRay, it just adds the additional commands. You can get it from: (URL) (...) (24 years ago, 9-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: The coolest shading I've ever seen

(...) Whoa, how did I miss this the first time through? -- there are step-by-step building instructions for that too... (URL) know what software might've been used to generate these?   Re: Lego Bedroom pictures uploaded at last!

Thanks for the feedback. I have just replied with some details as to how all this was done. I have also updated the site with some text. I suffer from too much work and too little time. As I mentioned. They are all print outs except for the big (...) (24 years ago, 9-Apr-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.cad.ray)

Gosh, A reply from "Todd". Thanks. There are all sorts of themes going on. I'm working on the text for my page but wanted to get the pictures up first. To answer some of your questions.   Re: Propellors on plane at Brickshelf

(...) Wow, there exists a version of POV-Ray which supports motion blur? I had no idea! So far, I've always used the POV-Ray animation technique to achieve motion blur. This is somewhat CPU consuming, as I have to render, say, 20 images, and then (...) (24 years ago, 9-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Propellors on plane at Brickshelf

(...) I used MegaPov (an unofficial version of PovRay) that supports motion blur: motion_blur { object {propel scale 2.5 rotate <clock*10,0,0> translate <-70, - 98, -100> } } I made the plane with MLCad and then i added the pilot (including his (...) (24 years ago, 8-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Propellors on plane at Brickshelf

George, How did you create the great propellor effect in this rendering? (URL) stranded minifig is a nice touch. Is the hair from some other LEGO POV library?) --Bram (24 years ago, 8-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Fredrik, great job (as usual) on the Tuk-Tuk! (URL) heading is kind of deceiving--the real thing is motorized, but not this mode, right? :) --Bram (24 years ago, 8-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: '59 Caddy Hovercar Raytraces

I didn't know that about POV-ray. The only things I've rendered in it have been floating in space, so I've never tried something hovering over a reflective surface. Is the POV file available for download somewhere? I need a 1024x768 version for my (...) (24 years ago, 7-Apr-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.town, lugnet.cad.ray)
