I just downloaded MLCad after a long hiatus and I love the new version. I'm
particularly having fun with the Minifig Generator. Given the amount of time
I spent with the old system, matching decimals, I prefer this method just as
much. With a little patience, I can include the file numbers of my customs
and some outdated parts that don't show up on the list.

Perhaps someone will go so far as to find a way to include the space
weapons/tools into the mix. Given the odd angles of 983.dat (compared to
977.dat), I wouldn't try it any other way, for the time being.

Howdy.
I should now declare since then, I have worked out a few new minifig
items to place into the .ini file for the Minifig Generator. Since my last
post, I have fine tuned additions for all of the handheld Space weapons
available, including the "camera"/SNES Super Scope 6/laser rifle with side
sight. In addition, minifigs with my adjustment can now carry the 3 most
recent sword types (Greatsword, Katana, and Cutlass), radio, and
loudspeaker/large space gun.
Knowing that my update is unofficial in its truest form, I'd love to
hear from Michael Lachmann himself before offering my update to anyone else.
In the meantime, I may add other things, such as the vintage Castle sword --
which would make updating my Chess Game a lot easier.

P.S.: To whomever wrote the Japanese version, or other foreign language
versions, you may wish to translate the new additions when/if they are made
available.

Hi I'm happy to take over your improvements to mlcad.ini as long as all used parts are part of the official ldraw library. Do you have a web-space for providing it, or shell I host it on the mlcad download page? Michael "James J." (...) (21 years ago, 15-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
