There isn't an 'official' LDraw color for dark orange. But you do have a
couple of options.
In MLCAD, you can define your own color values.
However, if you want to use an existing LDraw color, you might try dithering
yellow and brown -- this would be 14 + 6*16 + 256, or 366 (or 486, if you
swap the colors).
Thinking about the color-wheel (in RGB color-space), orange is 2 parts red
and 1 part green. So you might try dithering green and light red: 2 + 12*16
+ 256, or 450 (again, you could swap the color values and get 300).
I'm not sure either one of those is close to 'right', but give them a try.
A while (quite a while) ago, I posted an .mpd file with a 'color chart' for
all the possible LDraw color codes. It should be in lugnet.cad.dat.ideas,
probably from a couple of years ago. Take a look at that, maybe you'll find
a color code that works to your taste.

| Hi Steve, Thanks for the info. I'll try some of the values you suggested, and I'll take a quick look for the chart you mentioned. As I was waiting to see what kind of answeres I would get, I just kind of "eye-balled" my own custom color, and I came (...) (22 years ago, 12-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

| Hello all, The subject pretty much says it all. I am currently working on a project that I will need Dark Orange for, but I can't seem to figure out the right color number in MLcad for it. I've checked the other Ldraw color references that I know (...) (22 years ago, 11-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
