Sorry to keep asking for this stuff, I really think your work is great. But I
just can't help but think of ways to innovate. As for moving (and rotating)
pieces in 3 space. I just bought a new mouse with a wheel on top from Comp USA
for $14. Anyway I would like the mouse moves and wheel spinning to represent
XZY (or let me assign mouse moves for various XYZ). For instance, (on the
plane of the mouse pad) side to side is X, up/down is Z and the wheel is Y
(assuming that X is horizontal on the screen, Y is vertical on screen and Z
into the screen).

Currently I use the mouse wheel to zoom in/out or if you press it, you
can move to the sides (auto-pan) like in Internet Explorer (I'm assuming
you're talking about the MS Windows version, I don't know how to get the
mouse wheel to work under Linux).

I thought the idea of using the left button for the XY plane and the
right button for the Z axis was good, you didn't like it ? Don't you
think that having something different depending on the position of the
camera would be more complicated ?
