One thing that MS-DOS didn't totally screw up back in the early days -- even though it copied CP/M's blunder of using \ instead of / -- was the low-level functions for accessing files. Uhhm, I don't think I reserved that much space for a single line argument in LDS. If you have such a long path name and use it in LDS, I guess it will overwrite other variables with most unpredictable results... /Tore (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jun-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

(...) OK, well, having to explicitly use 'sets\xxxxz-yy\' isn't really that much of a handicap in the grand scheme of things. (...) I'd (...) The 'sets\xxxxz-yy\' is necessary. I think it's safe to say that if you built the model in LEdit using subdirs, and all the components showed up correctly in LEdit, all other programs will also handle the sub-dirs correctly. --Bram (...)
