Ahh.  Everyone, assume I canceled my reply to jonathan just before this.
Well, it will probably show up below this posting in the threaded-view.

Hmmm.  I don't have the new green roadplates, so I don't know if they are
the same as the previous 7-stud gray plates.  Will someone compare the four
green roadplates to the four 7-stud gray plates, and confirm that the
markings are all identical--the same spacing, and line-widths, and all?
Looking at the tiny pictures in the S@H catalog, it looks like the area
outside of the green border-lines (aka, the bike-path) is different.
Narrower in the green plates.

Otherwise, this sounds like a good idea.

Steve

steve, i have a small suggestion for your roadplates...
how about making the flat surface hard coded color #7... (if you have • already
done that then disregard this post)
so that if you make them green, say, they show up properly.

You probably mean this: Besides the change in road width, responsible for
the 7 stud and 9 stud versions, there are two different colour versions of
the roadplate, until 1997 the road surface and terrain surface (where the
studs are) were both grey. In the new version of the roadplate the road
surface is grey but the terrain surface is green. And your idea is making
the road colour #7 and leave the terrain colour #16. Sounds good.
Did I understand you correctly ?

Greetings, M. Moolhuysen.
