With all the programming efforts that you are investing in BFC it is
probably very important to minimize the number of triangles and stuff to
draw. so i was thinking , is it perhaps possible to extend some parts to a
kind of master build mode in which you can select some sides to be
eliminated so that they don't need rendering.
For example, you're building a giant wal. A standard brick in this wall
would only need a front and a back side because the other sides are all
covered by other bricks. would it then not be possible to place a standard
brick , press a key so a menu pops up in which you can select or deselect
faces to be drawn.
couldn't you save some time this way.
a better way perhaps is to have a program which takes a dat file , outlines
it in 3D and then creates a total new dat-file which only contains those
things that are seeable (perhaps even group adjacent rectangles in a new big
rectangle, and so on).
But this would probable cause massive problems to program.
