The point of having the name "Technic Pin with Friction" (not "technic pin with friction" as you refered to) is to make sure that the part falls in the same category as the part "Technic Pin". This is also why the names of the Technic chain (...) (24 years ago, 29-May-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)
