the way i see it from the discussions on the group there are 4 main problems
with my raied baseplate:
1.the small 2 x 2 studs area is in the wrong place.
this has been fixed.
2.the layout of the studs in the pit is wrong.
this has been fixed at last
3.the underside should be modeled properly.
this would require more work than the top half did no-one ever looks at the
underside of a baseplate. isn't the needs work tag for details that are very
complex and not essential to the use of the part especially those that can't be
seen.
4.the edges need to be curved
the canyon plate needs to be done before i will do mine.
however if it will get my raised baselpate in i will fix the underside.
i have accually checked the part against the real thing (i borrowed one of a
friend) and the dimentions of the current version of the .dat file (see
lugnet.cad.dat to get it) are correct to 1/2 a stud area except for the 2
problems mentioned above.
