Unfortunately, I am getting dozens of parsing errors when I try to run
the program. Travis informed me that LDview can also convert to 3DS and
OBJ, so I'll try that.

| (...) Just to clarify, the above isn't quite accurate (on two points). First of all, LDView 4.0.1 (the latest release) doesn't support this at all. Secondly, LDView 4.1 (which is forthcoming, but hasn't had even a beta release yet) will have support (...) (16 years ago, 13-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad.dev)
