I am contemplating making a new metacommand to allow the definition of useful
named viewpoints and using them to provide a pop down list of points from
which to view the model.
Basically these would not be used at all in the rendering process of models
but would allow model creators to specify useful viewpoints that illustrate
interesting things about the model.
The proposed syntax would be:
0 VIEWPOINT NAME x1 y1 z1 x2 y2 z2 DESCRIPTION
Basically this allows you to specify a view by name and associate an
optional description with it. So if I made a car model I could have the
viewpoints:
0 VIEWPOINT DRIVER_SEAT 1 1 1 2 2 2 A view from the drivers seat
0 VIEWPOINT NEAT_DETAIL 1 1 1 3 7 5 An interesting detail
(I am not entirely sure how LDraw specifies the viewpoint so clarification
would be nice so that my format matches the LDraw one).
