(...) With all due respect, writing it in .NET leaves the non-Windows people out in the cold. Java (while it does have an occasional drawback or two) is portable and will run transparently on Windows, Macs and the various unices. This is not an (...) (21 years ago, 19-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Right off the bat, I'd like to say that I think using a different notation for (A)RGB would be a good thing. Whether it's #RRGGBB or something else, I don't care. (...) Any reason it doesnt have "colour" in the name? It seems to only contain colour definitions, or will this be extended in future for other things (possibly)? Since no software can handle the file right now, I suggest the format is changed into: 0 COLORDEF color name edgecolor r g b dr dg db material COLORDEF in stead of COLOR to avoid confusion with ldlite COLOR.
