I have a followup question on p/stud4p.dat. In the real part, the interior hole
is inset a little way and this stud only juts out by 1 or 2 LDU at most. I find
I can get a reasonable facsimile of the interior by using this set of
primitives:
1 16 0 0 0 13 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 13 4-4edge.dat
1 16 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 -1 0 0 0 1 4-4rin12.dat
1 16 0 0 0 12 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 12 4-4edge.dat

1 16 0 0 0 8 0 0 0 -4 0 0 0 8 t04o5000.dat

1 16 0 0 0 8 0 0 0 -4 0 0 0 -8 t04o5000.dat

1 16 0 0 0 -8 0 0 0 -4 0 0 0 8 t04o5000.dat

1 16 0 0 0 -8 0 0 0 -4 0 0 0 -8 t04o5000.dat
0 BFC INVERTNEXT
1 16 0 -2 0 -6 0 0 0 -2 0 0 0 -6 4-4cyli.dat
1 16 0 -2 0 6 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 6 4-4edge.dat
1 16 0 -4 0 6 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 6 4-4edge.dat
1 16 0 -2 0 2 0 0 0 -1 0 0 0 2 4-4ring3.dat
1 16 0 -4 0 6 0 0 0 -1 0 0 0 6 4-4disc.dat
1 16 0 -2 0 1 0 0 0 -0.5 0 0 0 1 stud4p.dat
I used the 5000 torus instead of 6250 because the 6250 would cause overlaps with
the part exterior. Also using a 5000 but letting it go up 4 LDU tall will
overlap the exterior. This torus only goes 2 LDU tall and lets the stud stick
out by 2 LDU, which also looks close to the original part.
Here's the question: Along the interior of the stud4p there are lines, which are
also basically present in the 4-4edge.dat primitive around the hole, except
obviously some of the endpoints don't line up the same. Where the stud4p and
edge produce identical lines, is this still more or less kosher? I can't think
of any other way to do it.

| (...) Actually original parts only have triangles and have been merged by stl2dat (the 4th batch used a different concerter and no triangle to quad merge is done). That said, I had a look at m62696, there are only 5 non-coplanar quads, all within (...) (14 years ago, 16-Sep-10, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
