I never knew James; I became aware of LDraw a long time after he has passed
away. I have no idea what would be best for the file system, the prog, to honour
his accomplishments ... actually I don't care about much. I'm not very good in
this kind of things - to me ldrawing was and is a hobby. may be I'm wrong on his
side, say little sensitive, but that's the way I am.
I'm looking from a very practical point of view and it is sad to say that: we
are currently going nowhere! sorry, if this sounds harsh, but even the LSC is
nothing more than cosmetics, because everything has to be done in prospect of
the backwards compatibility.
I really hoped that the copyright discussion in june, with the aim to separate
the original parts package from 0.27 would be a step forward but it became clear
that there is no will to get rid off the concrete boots ...

count on my vote

I'm not holding it back (you can download it form my site) but it does make no
sense submitting it to the PT. it would get hold voted a split second after I
had finished uploading it ... for what? just to add another part to the
kindergarden of hold voted orphan parts? I submit the part immediately after the
specs have been changed. do you have the impression that this is a some sort of
ransom? you are right ;-)
