Whoah, Willy what a work. I'm impressed.

many thx for the praise :-)

Nevertheless, I have compared the part with the real world one
and found some differences:
- the pockets of the vest are not high enough - on the real
part you can see more of their vertical edges
- the minifig head's throat has thinner borders
- the vertical gaps between the bricks are smaller
- the upper left pocket has small vertical lines on its ends
- the central white spot below the minifig's throat is larger
- the 2 small bricks on the right side in the third row are smaller
If you'd like to have a part scan, contact me

hmm ... looks like there are more versions of this pattern out there. I based
the re-engineering on this scan:

I have to admit that the quality of the scan is not the best and the passage:
real part -> scan -> vector graphics file -> dxf file -> dat file (just consider
the rounding form 6 digits to 3) gives room to a lot of error an mismatches, but
this is the best I could do or was willing to do ("the vertical gaps between the
bricks are smaller" for example was an authors choice to disthinguish them
better in a MLCad or LDview. initially I even tried to read what was written,
but in the end ... how much detail is enough and how much is too much ;-)

w.

There alway tends to be a minute amount a variation between pattern printings
from brick to brick.  I think your optimizations are well within accpetible
limits.  After all, we're not going for archival quality just the general idea.
