Re: panel with round windows (for 10020) updated —Bernd Broich
   (...) Hi Jeroen, This would be the better solution with primitives: 0 Panel 1 x 2 x 2 with round window v2 (needs work) 0 Name: 4864p??.dat 0 Use this as Subpart s\4864s01.dat 1 47 -10 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 stud2.dat 1 47 0 44 0 1 0 0 0 -1 0 0 0 1 (...)         Re: panel with round windows (for 10020) updated —Jeroen de Haan
(...) Hi Bernd, Thanks for cooking this up, but erm... now I still don't know how it is done. Shure, I'm gonna have a closer look at it but all those disks and rings? I know L3P will replace them with proper POV primitives, but which one does what? (...) (23 years ago, 9-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: panel with round windows (for 10020) updated —Tony Hafner
(...) The rings aren't actually for POV- they're for LDraw. They are simply sections of 16-sided "curves" (and yes- they are in the "p" directory). The rotation/scaling matrix turns them and scales them up to fit onto the panel's surface. You can do (...) (23 years ago, 9-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: panel with round windows (for 10020) updated —Jeroen de Haan
(...) I don't know if we understand each other. As I understood from de L3P manual, some primitives from the P-dir are substituted by L3P to POV primitives. If you take a look at (URL) (where the new panels are used) you will notice that the circels (...) (23 years ago, 10-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: panel with round windows (for 10020) updated —Steve Bliss
(...) Go to take a look at your ldraw/p/ directory. ;) More seriously, I've reposted the slightly-dated Primitives Reference page at (URL). That page gives you an outline of most of the 'types' of primitive files. Steve (23 years ago, 10-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: panel with round windows (for 10020) updated —Tony Hafner
(...) I stand corrected- I didn't realize that L3P did that. I just checked through the text file and found the reference to it. So yes, using primitives is a better way to go. Ugh, and now I have to rethink how I lay out some parts, as the (...) (23 years ago, 10-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: panel with round windows (for 10020) updated —Bernd Broich
(...) Hi, I also don't know all of the primitives there are available. I want to make a list with pictures and description. Using the primitives is like using subparts, but with streching them in the right orientation. It's a little bit linear (...) (23 years ago, 10-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
