Hi,

I'm using MLCad to model an "Original Model" (6457 from 1999,
sorry no scan on brickshelf) for the inventory and model repository;
but with a few pieces, I'm pretty much stumped:

1) MLCad doesn't seem to have a color for those "golden" helmets.
   What Color should I use?

According to the ldraw faq, gold is color 334.  It ends up looking somewhat
orange, but it's not too far off.  I don't know if l3p recognizes it as gold
and uses appropriate material properties or not.  The ldraw faq is available
from:

http://www.ldraw.org/memorial/archive/FAQ/

I myself have seen that color reference, but preferred to follow a more...
obscure, but accurate reference. In short, I use Color 366 to get the gold that
LEGO fans are familiar with. Copying some lines from POV-Ray's representation
of Color 383 (Silver), a metallic/chromy version can be acheived. To get a good
gold color, Always use 366. I use 462 for Orange in LDraw or MLCAD, but 334
looks more official in POV-Ray.
Check out my color chart for further details.

It also comes with the ldraw program, so should be in your ldraw directory.
Section 27 lists all the colors, including some special ones like gold and
chrome.

2) has anyone already modeled the breastplate / breathing apparatus
thingy that is used in this model?

3) Another missing part: is there somewhere a model for the Tile 2x2
with the keyboard pictures on it?

I want to know who has made the "Tile 1x2 with Computer Keyboard Pattern"
(that is, if anyone has...)?

Don't just "play well", play better!

I don't know the answer to either of those.
