Matt,
A few things to consider.
1. Send a message to Tore (tore.eriksson@mbox325.swipnet.se)
to _register_ the part you;ve just encoded, and the "P"-number
you're using, to help _prevent_ someone else from trying to use
that same "P"-number.
2. Fish out all the polygons (type-"3" and type-"4" lines)
that you're encoding as color code 383,
make them a _separate_ sub-file whose internal color code is 16,
and then make a one-line (type-"1") reference to this sub-file
as color code 383.
This is the _standard_ way of using dithered colors within DAT files.
(This should be in the LDraw FAQ, if it isn't already in the FAQ.)
3. You should probably remove the WRITE and ROTATE commands,
as these are not needed (or approved?) for LDraw, IIRC.
Thanks,
Franklin
